More Than Light
More Than Light
Spirituality—
is it only peace?
A surrender to love, where that love carries you gently, further, always toward the light?
Is it just a mantra, a sound without end, lifting us ever higher on waves of sacred tone?
Is it really just acceptance—
a true awakening
in a world still asleep, aching quietly?
Is it merely opening up,
flowing with the current
of endless energy and color,
the knowing that arises when you arrive,
and let yourself float
in the ecstasy of being?
To feel spirituality like that—
it is a beautiful dream,
woven from countless others,
a blanket of warmth
wrapping us in its tender hush.
But still,
it is a dream.
A sweet illusion dulled by passivity,
where we risk sinking into stillness,
doing nothing at all.
Spirituality begins with struggle.
Like the Big Bang once tore silence apart,
life began in fire,
elements clashing,
forces swirling to find their center.
Even birth, so near and small,
begins with a cry—
just like the cosmos did.
Spirituality is love.
And love embraces all things—
even the fight,
even the pain,
even the battles in the world,
and the deeper ones
in the silence of our own hearts.
To be spiritual is to long for growth—
the first spark that gives shape,
the birth of will,
the forming of desire.
But to dream, to rest,
to dissolve in the light,
to float forever in love…
Is that really all you see?
Is that spirituality?
